ESIS: Information Center for Energy in Turkey

Developed by Innova for Republic of Turkey Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources Strategic Management and Statistics System aims to enhance decision-making processes for Turkey’s energy policies and strategies.

Republic of Turkey Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (MENR) started a key initiative for engineering dynamic and effective energy policies and monitoring the outcomes. Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources Strategic Management and Statistics System, the ministry’s Strategic Management and Statistics System, provides a network of information for the ministry, associated offices and all relevant administrative bodies; aiming to inform the public in full accuracy on a key industry with multiple and active stakeholders.

Mr. Doganbey Akgul, Head of Strategy Development at MENR, emphasized the need for an interconnected network between the ministry’s information systems and all connected bodies: “Decision making requires a comprehensive and immediate data from all resources and with full accuracy. There are many public and private sector stakeholders and it is imperative that we establish an information backbone for access to various data.”
