Avea Mobile Ambulance Application

Human life is precious. That’s why one of Turkey’s biggest mobile phone operators, Avea, decided to partner with Innova to develop a Mobile Ambulance Application designed to improve the speed and reliability of communications between ambulances and hospitals.

The two companies, which are both members of the Turk Telekom Group, worked alongside the Turkish Health Ministry to implement its Mobile Hospital Solutions project. The Mobile Ambulance Application was one of the key results of this work, making it possible to deliver information about patients to emergency wards even before the ambulance arrives. The application allows paramedics to send data via a mobile device using a 3G connection. The data is then monitored by specialist emergency ward doctors to give them vital extra time to make necessary preparations and thus improve the chances of the patient, particularly in life-threatening emergencies.
