Brisa Briport Intranet Portal

Brisa Bridgestone Sabanci, Turkey’s largest tyre producer, saved time and publishing costs after it launched its Briport intranet portal. Microsoft SharePoint, which has a reputation for operational excellence, was used as the platform.

Established in 1974 and restructured in 1988 as a partnership between Turkish conglomerate Sabanci and the Bridgestone Tyre Company of Japan, the Brisa tyre production plant is now the largest in Turkey and the sixth largest in Europe, employing 1,600 people.

Some time ago Brisa recognised the need for a common platform that would ensure a steady flow of information within the business and give its employees access to accurate information from a single source. The result was its Briport intranet portal, which the company set up with assistance from Innova. Now all Brisa employees can read the company’s announcements, retrieve data and make use of applications.

The portal communicates up-to-date details of Brisa’s ongoing projects, latest systems, and new policies. It can also send greetings to employees on their birthdays and on other special occasions.
