The TTnet users, the TTnet Music, TTnet Video, and TTnet Games portals developed by Innova, Turkey’s leading firm in the business of software technologies, have received Microsoft’s “2008 Most Successful Project Award”.
TTNET Music, the first of a series of TTNET portals that open the doors to the world of entertainment for TTnet users, was put into service in early 2008. TTNET Music is the result of the team efforts of about 50 people led by Innova in line with TTNET’s collaborations with professional associations of the Turkish music industry such as MÜ-YAP, MESAM, MSG, and MÜYORBİR. TTNET Music gives users access to more than 100 thousand songs that they can listen to for free and also download free of charge to their own computers depending on the rights permitted in the ADSL service they signed up for.
The downloaded music can be used to create playable audio CDs and offloaded into portable music players. Taking advantage of this portal, TTNET users listened to nearly 19 million and downloaded more than 10 million songs to their computers last year. What’s more, all of this was completely legal because TTNET Music was created to be a platform to help combat the problem of music piracy in Turkey.
In the wake of the success of TTNET Music, two more portals–TTNET Video and TTNET Games–were launched and quickly became indispensable internet addresses for TTNET users thanks to the superior quality of their content compared with rival platforms.
