Goodyear has been operating in Turkey under the name Goodyear Lastikleri T.A.S. since 1961 and has been a truly important company for the nation, having contributed significantly to the Turkish economy and provided thousand of jobs. Goodyear initiated the Goodport project with the aim of easily sharing information on events, and announcements and news with staff scattered across different parts of Turkey. The Goodport portal also creates a common library for everyone and acts as an in-house social media platform where employees can find information about each other.

The portal made use of Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 technology, with assistance from Innova. Innova’s deep knowledge and expertise stem from the many successful infrastructure projects that it has undertaken for several of Turkey’s leading organisations. With Goodport, Goodyear Turkey now has a strong communication infrastructure and live platform able to link workers in multiple locations.

With the Goodport project, Goodyear Lastikleri T.A.S. also stood out among the different Goodyear companies operating in the EMEA region for having the strongest internal communication network.
