Beirut Release of New Generation Multi-media Pay Phones

Global Industry Leaders forum by International Telecommunications Union hosted the pioneering names in the international telecoms sector at Habtoor Grand Hotel Convention Centre. The organization’s agenda was convergence technologies.

The new generation multi-media pay phones produced by Innova combining voice and video communication with internet and multi-media features attracted considerable attention during the forum. The Multi-Media Pay Phone system displayed at Oger Telecom booth allows users to benefit from various innovative features like video telephony, internet access, e-mail, instant photography and video exchange, SMS messaging and city life information services. Each pay phone is also used as a hot spot for Wi-Fi internet access.

Among the components of multi-media payphone structure are touchscreen, instant access function keys, Q keyboard, EMV L2 approved credit card reader, PCI approved pin pad and media slots. The device also comes with a thermal writer to enable provision for a receipt for credit card paid transactions. Users can also employ their own storage device through card readers and USB ports to save and store copies of their e-mails or the files they download from the internet.
