An era of money making talk is starting in Arabia

The largest telecom operator of Middle East, STC (Saudi Telecom Company) has put into practice a loyalty system allowing subscribers earn points as they speak. The points earned in this system can be used like cash in member enterprises. Innova which has realized many large scale projects in Turkey regarding electronic payment systems, will install the necessary information technologies infrastructure in this project so that the subscribers can spend their earned points like cash in 2000 points in Saudi Arabia. 

According to the framework of the agreement signed in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, both the mobile and the landline subscribers of STC will earn points as they speak and use them like cash while shopping at member enterprises. Qitaf, the former customer loyalty system of STC implemented with paper coupons will now be turned into a complete online structure by Innova. With the real time online loyalty system that will be integrated to the current systems of STC, the subscribers will be able to earn points immediately through their lines and will be able to shop easily in return for points in member enterprises. 

Innova will establish the complete Payment Infrastructure

Innova is providing end-to-end services in this project including the design of the infrastructure, development of the software, installation of the POS network that will cover the whole Saudi Arabia as well as the management of the system. Thus Innova is not only a software and system provider in this project, but is positioned as a business partner of STC and will generate a revenue through each transaction performed through the system. The first phase of the project will take 3 years and a team located in Saudi Arabia will undertake the necessary operational activities to ensure that the project serves a wider subscriber group. The technological support for the system will be provided by İstanbul and Ankara offices of Innova. With the infrastructure that will be installed, many innovative applications such as collection of revenues, payment, international money transfer and mobile payment will be put into use.

STC which has announced its revenue as 9.2 billion dollars in 2007 retains the position of the largest telecom operator in the Middle East with 17.8 million GSM, 5 million landline and 1 million broadband subscribers. In addition, the STC group acquired 35 percent of Oger Telecom shares for 2.85 billion dollars within the year 2008.
