SunExpress Self-service Check-in Kiosk

SunExpress passengers are skipping the check-in queues with Kiosk Innova self-service check-in kiosks.

SunExpress is a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, founded in the Turkish tourist centre of Antalya in 1989. The airline began flying in 1990 and now operates 1,000 scheduled flights a week from Antalya, Izmir and Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen airport. The company has more than 1,000 employees across Europe.

SunExpress

SunExpress was searching for a solution to give its customers an easier check-in experience and avoid long queues. The airline wanted to allow customers to print their own boarding passes and to choose their own seat. All of this was achieved through the self-service check-in kiosks designed and manufactured by Kiosk Innova.

The check-in kiosks were first used in Antalya and later installed at Istanbul’s second airport, Sabiha Gokcen, and helped to speed up check-in at both locations quite significantly. SunExpress passengers are now able to use the kiosks to check-in and print boarding passes by themselves, without having to wait in long queues.

SunExpress check-in kiosks have been entirely designed and produced at Innova’s kiosk manufacturing facilities and are fitted with two screens. Passengers use a 17 inch touchscreen to complete the check-in procedures, while a 19 inch LCD screen displays important announcements and advertising videos. In addition, there is also a telephone handset module fitted into the check-in kiosks to allow passengers to easily call the company’s call centre.

No more queues! Check yourself in, print your boarding card and go.
