Ford Industrial Kiosk Project

Overview

Ford Motor Company is an American multinational corporation and the world's third largest automaker based on worldwide vehicle sales. In 2006, Ford was the second-ranked automaker in the US with a 17.5% market share. In 2006, Ford produced about 6.6 million automobiles, and employed about 280,000 employees at about 100 plants and facilities worldwide.

Challenge

One of Ford's biggest plants is located in Golcuk, Turkey. The plant manufactures Ford vans for the EMEA market. Ford needed industrial control terminals to manage the production, control the quality and to the logistics of the manufactured cars.

Kiosk Innova Solution

Following rigorous tests in the UK, Innova qualified as a vendor to Ford international. Since then, Innova has designed and manufactured different types of industrial kiosks to meet different requirements for Ford.

Result

Several hundred industrial kiosks were deployed at Ford's Golcuk Plant. After a user survey, which reported %96 user satisfaction, Ford Motor Company decided to distribute Kiosk Innova's solutions globally, starting with the UK and Germany.
