The Mobile Ambulance Application offers a complete end-to-end mobile solution, as it is fully integrated with other applications used in the health sector. It is designed to reduce data entry requirements as much as possible, increasing the number of multiple-choice options in order to simplify and speed up communication. The application was first put into use by Ankara Keçiören Hospital and its ambulance services located in Turkey’s capital city. The mobile ambulance application enables the use of mobile devices for data entry, and for the photographing and marking of injured areas on the device’s screen. This information is then pushed to displays used by emergency service management teams, alerting the health professional most suited to respond to the patient’s particular injuries.
In addition, in order to guarantee the application’s ease of use, the interface was designed to make full use of touchscreen features and to be used both vertically and horizontally. Mobile Ambulance Application users are allowed different levels of access to the system depending on their job definitions and levels of authorisation. With this application all tests and treatments carried out at the Ankara Keçiören Hospital are stored safely within a central application and can be used to provide data for reporting and analysis.
