SunExpress Self-Service Check-in Kiosks


SunExpress passengers are skipping the check-in queues with Kiosk Innova kiosks.

SunExpress is a joint venture between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, founded in the Turkish tourist centre of Antalya in 1989. The airline began flying in 1990 and now operates 1,000 scheduled flights a week from Antalya, Izmir and Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen airport. The company has more than 1,000 employees across Europe.

SunExpress was searching for a solution to give its customers an easier check-in experience and avoid long queues. The airline wanted to allow customers to print their own boarding passes and to choose their own seat. All of this was achieved through the self-service kiosks designed by Kiosk Innova.

Kiosk Innova Solution

The kiosks were first used in Antalya and later installed at Istanbul’s second airport, Sabiha Gokcen, and helped to speed up check-in at both locations quite significantly. SunExpress passengers are now able to use the kiosks to check-in and print boarding passes by themselves, without having to wait in long queues.

 

 

 

Result

SunExpress kiosks have been entirely designed and produced at Innova’s production facilities and are fitted with two screens. Passengers use a 17 inch touchscreen to complete the check-in procedures, while a 19 inch LCD screen displays important announcements and advertising videos. In addition, there is also a telephone module fitted into the kiosks to allow passengers to easily call the company call centre.
