During the 34th Interferry conference, held under the main sponsorship of İDO (Istanbul Sea Bus Lines) this year, İDOMATİK, the custom-designed self service ticket kiosks, by Kiosk Innova were displayed. Having provided considerable efficiency increase at İDO ports, the success of İDOMATİKs was shown as a sample case to other transportation companies.
While it takes around 1.5 minutes to prepare a ticket for a personnel seated at the ticket window, this has been reduced to a few seconds with İDOMATİKs, produced by Kiosk Innova. An employee can issue maximum 500 tickets per day, while an İDOMATİK can issue 15 thousand.
30 indoors kiosks of İDOMATİKs serve passengers who will travel on the sea busses. 21 outdoor kiosks are located at port car parks to enable the ferry passengers get their tickets without getting off the car. It can operate in temperatures varying between -15 degrees to +45 degrees Celsius in four seasons and under heavy weather conditions such as snow, rain, blizzard and storm. In addition, serving at international lines terminals, outdoor İDOMATİKs operate for a long time without any need of an intervention with the watchdog timer feature that allows the total shut down and restart of the device on its own in case of technical or software problems.
