Whether creating automated payment processing for websites, billing cycles for recurring payments, card-swipe and PC terminals for merchants, wireless POS, or full provisioning for an enterprise-wide platform, i-Pay VPOS offers a wide range of credit card purchase capabilities.
Specially designed to handle card not present (CNP) transactions, i-Pay VPOS processes incoming transactions, converts and forwards them to banks, and manages the transaction flow between merchants and banks. All communication channels between merchants and banks are secured by advanced cryptographic algorithms.
i-Pay VPOS provides the high levels of scalability and performance demanded of today’s payment infrastructures. Integration with acquirers may be over ISO8583, Visa-2 based, or any other custom protocols. Multiple acquirers may be supported with intelligent routing features, which makes i-Pay VPOS ideal for financial processors.

i-Pay VPOS supports multiple authentication methods for CNP transactions, including Verified by Visa (MPI) and MasterCard SecureCode, through a single and common module. The software plugs into a merchant’s checkout process and efficiently manages the authentication process. iNNOVA’s i-Pay VPOS solution supports Visa 3DSecure 1.0.2, which makes the merchant eligible for the charge-back liability shift on “attempted” Verified by Visa transactions.
Fraud Detection
i-POS includes a fraud detector that enables the acquirer bank to screen all operations at any time. i-Pay VPOS further enhances payment infrastructure security by providing a rule-based and real-time control mechanism to screen all transactions simultaneously for signs of fraudulent behaviour. The rules are parametric and allow businesses to customize their screening processes.
Extensive Merchant Management
i-Pay VPOS includes a Central Payment Portal, which enables the acquirer bank to manage all merchants and to authorize them whether they can acquire the credit information at their sites or redirect the credit card holder to the portal. Acquiring the credit card information at the Central Payment Portal not only provides the additional security of the acquirer site but also isolates the payment process to a single location, so that any future changes to payment protocols can be addressed by modifying only the Central Payment Portal and not the site of each merchant.
An additional benefit of the Central Payment Portal is that since a single SSL certificate can serve all merchants, individual merchants do not need to have SSL certificates of their own. The contents of the Central Payment Portal are dynamic and can be configured to carry the look and feel of each merchant, the acquirer or both. It is thus possible to give cardholders the impression that they are still at the merchant’s site.
The contents of the Central Payment Portal may also be dynamically generated for each transaction, which makes it possible to develop a wide variety of one-to-one marketing applications. i-Pay VPOS’s web-based management interface allows the system to be remotely monitored, controlled and configured. The management interface is a standalone component that may be deployed on a separate server in order not to affect the performance of the POS.
